Fresh Mobile Markets

We are the only organization in the Piedmont who operates 19 mobile food pantries, what we call “Fresh Mobile Markets” in addition to our “Operation Backpack.” We take out food (including fresh produce, meat, bread and staple items) to food deserts (locations with high need and little access to food) in Guilford County and pass out approximately 60 pounds of food each to families in need. We generally go to a school we know is in need and ask a connect ed. announcement be sent over the phone announcing the time and location of the next nearby Fresh Mobile Market. Everyone who comes must fill out a form and qualify by their income. We currently serve 3000 additional individuals each month through our Fresh Mobile Markets.
